In accordance with its Notice of Request for Prequalification of Design/Build Entities, the County of Contra Costa (“County”), the Capital Projects Management Division of the Public Works Department, hereby gives notice it is requesting qualifications for design-build services to include but not limited to Security Surveillance Video, and Door Control Systems at the Juvenile Hall (“Project”) and that the County has determined that all Design-Build Entities (“Design-Builder”) must be prequalified.

General work description: The work generally consists of reconstructing the east bank of Pinole Creek located between Henry Avenue and I-80, in the City of Pinole. Work includes excavation, clearing and grubbing, embankment reconstruction, placement of soil-filled rock slope protection, temporary creek diversion and dewatering, temporary traffic control, hydroseeding, and pavement reconstruction.

In accordance with its Notice of Request for Prequalification of Design-Build Entities, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (“District”) hereby gives notice it is requesting qualifications for Design- Build Entities to design and construct a new Fire Station Project (“Project”), Fire Station 9, located in Pacheco, CA, and that the District has determined that all Design-Build Entities (“Design-Build Entities”) must be prequalified.

The Project consists of the retrofit and adaptive reuse of an existing one-story, wood-framed building to create a 46-bed MHRC facility including new care suites, sleeping rooms, medical and wellness spaces, staff offices, as well as recreational and dining areas. The construction consists of hazardous material abatement, selective demolition, structural seismic upgrades, interior and exterior remodel and replacement of all MEP systems. Scope also includes upgrading commercial kitchen, installation of new fire protection, security, and access control systems, and providing new doors, windows, finishes, and anti-ligature fixtures throughout. Site improvements include new accessible entries, parking and path of travel upgrades, landscape enhancements, C3 bioretention planters, new covered patios, trash enclosure and emergency generator installation.

The project includes construction of a new prefabricated training tower on a concrete foundation with electrical services. Work includes but is not necessarily limited to construction of a concrete foundation, erection of a prefabricated building (County provided FOB to the site) and electrical panel, lighting and outlets as shown in the drawings titled “CONTRA COSTA SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT TACTICAL TRAINING TOWER, 11990 Marsh Creek Road, Clayton, CA 94517 – “Bid Set Dated 10/7/2025” by KMD Architects . The training tower has already been purchased by Contra Costa County and will be delivered FOB to the jobsite. Construction will occur on the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Facility property.

The project includes the demolition of the existing rooftop HVAC system and full system replacement with an all-electric HVAC system. This project also includes the replacement of the roofing system, electrical upgrades including new switchgear, and lighting upgrades in the main library floor.

The County of Contra Costa (“County”), through its Capital Projects Management Division of the Public Works Department, hereby gives notice it is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to deliver design-build services for the County’s fleet Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) network projects and that the County has determined that all Design-Build Entities (“Design-Builder”) must be prequalified.

The project includes elevator modernization and refurbishments to all six (6) elevators for the main hospital building including all related work including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, fire alarm and fire sprinkler. The work will be phased so only one elevator is out of service at any point in time. All Deferred Approvals, including engineering / design and submission to HCAi, for items such as Elevators (if required), Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinklers will be required under this contract. Maintenance of all six elevators during construction is also part of this contract.

The County of Contra Costa (“County”), through its Capital Projects Management Division of the Public Works Department, hereby gives notice it is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design-build services for the Sherman Recovery Center Project (“Project”) and that the County has determined that all Design-Build Entities (“Design-Builder”) must be prequalified.
