Chiller Replacement Project

The project includes but is not limited to the replacement of three chillers and their related water pumps within the chiller plant. The chiller work also requires rerouting of piping within the chiller plant replacement and relocation of the chilled water expansion tank and installation of a new refrigerant leak detection system. All work will be phased in sequence to allow continuous operation of the facility in conjunction with. the furnish, installation & maintenance of an interim chiller and generator on site. To connect the inttirim equipment with the building mechanical and electrical systems, temporary connections and supports will be installed at the exterior of the building extending to the identified points of connection on the mechanical and electrical drawings within the building. All interim and tempora1y equipment and support systems are to be removed at project completion with the site and building restored to their original condition· refer to the drawings sheet notes and specifications for additional information. Bidders shall carefully review the phasing / sequencing requirements in the Contract Documents, including Exhibit A - Abbreviated Functional Program.

The estimated construction contract cost (Base bid) is $7,200,000.00.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on July 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the project site, 2500 Alhambra Ave., Martinez, CA 94553. The group will meet in the main Hospital Lobby. Discussion will cover recommended outreach efforts, resources, and any other subjects of interest to attendees.

Immediately following the pre-bid conference on July 30, 2025, there will be an in-person mandatory Job Site Visit at 2500 Alhambra Ave., Martinez, CA 94553.

**Because of the restrictive nature of the facilities, the site will only be open for inspection by bidders on July 30, 2025, as noted above.
