RFQ - West County Detention Facility Accessible Room Compliance Project

PROJECT SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The proposed new work will comply with the California Building Code, Title 24 requirements, and Contra Costa County Building Design and Construction Guidelines. The project will address accessibility upgrades at West County Detention Facility (WCDF) and provide: • Upgrades to create four (4) accessible cells at each of the four (4) male housing units (Buildings 5, 6, 7 and 8) totaling sixteen (16) accessible cells created campus-wide. • Accessible paths of travel to the specific areas of alteration. The primary accessible path of travel shall include: a primary entrance to the facility, toilet and shower facilities, recreational areas, drinking fountains serving the area, public phones serving the area, and signs.
